NAGPUR: Mahin Sapkal, a student of Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Keshav Nagar is tied with Swanand as joint second topper with 98.18% marks. Both he and Swanand did not attend any coaching classes on their way to the top. These students relied solely on self study.
Mahin told TOI that he did not follow any rigid timetable but made sure he studied at least five hours daily.

He said, "Studying without stress helps you to learn faster and better. Students need not sweat it out or burn the midnight oil before the exams, regular studies are beneficial."
He is also of the view that tuitions aren't a must. "Coaching classes are good for practice but this should not overshadow the efforts put in by the teachers. Teachers are responsible while coaching classes just try to make money," he added.
He credits his parents and principal of his school for his success. He is an avid cricket player and confessed that on some days he spent less time studying and more on extra curricular activities. Now he has set his eyes on pursuing IAS. He adds SRK is his favourite star and is eagerly waiting for Ra.One to release.
